Who We Are
PT Agro Wahana Bumi (AWB) is a company dedicated to developing plantations for renewable energy and biomass. Operating at the slopes of Mount Tambora, West Nusa Tenggara, we believe that a sustainable energy future can go hand-in-hand with improving local community welfare. Our work is guided by core principles that ensure responsible and impactful operations.
- Sustainable Practices: Committing to environmentally-friendly plantation methods that optimize land use without degrading.
- High Quality Production: Focusing on producing high-quality biomass for clean energy and superior agricultural commodities for local and international market.
- Shared Economy: Implementing a shared economy model to ensure that our growth provides direct economic benefits and mutual prosperity for local communities.
Our core strategy involves a smart integrated intercropping system. We plant energy-producing biomass crops, such as Red Calliandra, Lamtoro and Gamal, alongside high-value perennial crops like Coffee, Avocado, and Macadamia, etc. This innovative approach not only maximizes land productivity for clean energy but also generates significant economic value from agricultural products. This directly supports our commitment to a shared economy, ensuring our growth creates a positive and lasting impact on the indigenous communities we work.
To become a leading sustainable biomass and agricultural producer through optimized land use that drives green energy, community prosperity, and long-term development across the Indonesian archipelago.

Plantation Area
Our plantation is strategically located on the fertile plains at the slopes of Mount Tambora, West Nusa Tenggara. This area was carefully selected for its unique environmental advantages, which are ideal for our integrated agricultural model.
- Fertile Volcanic Soil: The land is enriched by volcanic nutrients from Mount Tambora (Regosol & Litosol), creating a highly productive environment for biomass crops and high-value commodities.
- Ideal Climate: The region's tropical climate, with consistent rainfall and abundant sunlight, supports rapid plant growth and ensures quality harvests throughout the year. The predicted rainfall in the region is 2,523 mm / year (research by Napalia Niwan Pasulu, Forestry Management, IPB) (Orographic Rain).
- Accessibility & Community: The site's proximity to local communities facilitates our shared economy model and allows for direct collaboration with local farmers and the workforce.
Our choice of the Tambora location is the cornerstone of our commitment to sustainability and efficiency.
The natural fertility of the soil reduces our reliance on artificial fertilizers, aligning with our
eco-friendly principles.
By developing this land, we are not just cultivating crops; we are fostering economic growth and
environmental stewardship in a region of outstanding potential.
